Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Akagera National Park
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by a Verdant Safaris company representative who will meet, greet and transfer you to the city for a great city tour encounter, visiting the Rwanda Genocide Memorial a place of great memory to the people of Rwanda. Visit the local market and return to the airport for your 25 minutes flight on helicopter to Akagera National Park. The scenic views of the below, the expanse and sight of the beautiful lakes is overly amazing arriving to meet your guide who will transfer you to the lodge that has been booked for your dinner and staying overnight at
Ruzizi Tented Camp
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 2: Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise on Lake Ihema
After your morning breakfast, you will transfer to the park for adventure of the big five. Through the well distributed game routes off you will drive in search of animals especially the early morning risers. Expect to see lions, buffaloes, antelopes, zebras, rhinos to mention a few. You will return to the lodge for lunch and an afternoon boat cruise along Lake Ihema. You will be in position to view the many water birds and on a lucky day might be the one to see the rare shoe bill stock. Return to the lodge for dinner and staying overnight
Rusizi Tented Camp

Day 3: Guided Nature Walk and Departure
You will take tea or coffee to warm your tummy after which you will get to the park for a guided nature walk where you will be led by an experienced guide identifying the several tree and plant species of the park. Return for a brunch and board your helicopter flight to Kigali International Airport for your connecting flight back home.
