INZU Lodge is an eco-friendly lodge in the highlands area of ​​Gisenyi. The lodge offers accommodations and unique experiences while paying homage to Rwandan style and culture. The lodge opened in March 2022 to serve the community. Travelers visiting this community are located in the foothills of beautiful Lake Kivu. The wind blowing from the lake is very pleasant and impressive. Lake Kivu is a famous lake that borders Congo and Rwanda, joined by various islands, and the views from the lodges are breathtaking.

INZU Lodge

There are 8 safari tents and a family bamboo house that sleeps up to 3 people. The tents are decorated with an African urban touch and come with double, single or triple beds. Lodge terms and conditions apply. The lodge rate includes full board and is the place to stay during your stay in Rwanda or during your visit to the Virunga volcanic area, and it is child and pet friendly. The rooms are equipped with private bathrooms, flush toilets, reading tables and free toiletries, available on the lodge grounds. All furnishings are decorated and the tranquillity of the facility is very close to the municipalities and tourist areas.

INZU Lodge is a stunning location overlooking Lake Kivu, with beautiful unobstructed grounds views from our tents, shared spaces, and comfort, making it an ideal destination. The restaurant serves delicious meals to travellers and has everything you need. The variety of food options is great, the restaurant serves good food and the beer is available on site. The service is excellent and the staff always do their best to ensure guest satisfaction. The cleanliness of the facility equates to 5 stars.

The lodge offers activities such as boat trips on Lake Kivu. We plan to cruise around the lake grounds and enjoy the lake adorned with speckled islands. A wonderful place to visit and the lakeside views are very pleasant and relaxing. Whether you’re walking along the lakeshore with an evening cocktail or cycling along the Congo Nile Trail, there’s plenty to see and do. The diversity of bird life is magical and the encounter with the village fishermen is historic. Guided nature walk, track mountain gorillas in Virunga National Park. The tour starts from Kigali City. The communication to the lodge is perfect, the driving distance from Gisenyi to the lodge is 9 km and the accommodation is close to the Rwandan Marine Corps barracks. So if you see a lot of soldiers, don’t worry, just relax. The road to the lodge is steep and rocky, but the security team are always helpful and go the extra mile in hospitality.
