Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by a Verdant Safaris company representative who will brief you about the tour and transfer you to the lodge that has been booked for you. This will mark the start of the 10 Days Exploring Uganda and Rwanda Tour. Dinner and stay overnight at

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast you will be transferred to Kibale Forest National Park. This hosts the largest forest cover of Kabarole district and is home to 13 species of primates. Chimpanzees are said to share up to 98% of the human DNA. Arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon swamp walk along the Bigodi. Dinner and staying overnight at

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

On this day you will wake up to a morning breakfast, assemble at the Kanyachu Visitor Center for the chimpanzee tracking. Briefing will be conducted before heading into the forest, tracking time takes 2-3 hours to meet man’s closet relative the Chimpanzee. You will return to meet your guide and transfer to Bwindi through the south of Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in time for dinner and staying overnight at

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking

Following a morning breakfast, you will transfer to the park center for a morning briefing after which you head into the park in search of these majestic creatures. Trekking time depends on how far the gorilla families have moved and it should be noted that mountain gorillas do not be in one position as they roam the forest in search of food. This can take 2 or more hours depending on how far they have gone. You will be allowed up to 1 hour with the gorillas for observation and photography. Return to the lodge for dinner and staying overnight at

Day 5: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

On this day, you will have breakfast and be transferred to Volcanoes National Park, arriving in time for lunch and afternoon entertainment from the Iby’iwacu community. These will perform the traditional Kinyarwanda dances, drumming and they are said to have been poachers who later embraced tourism at a later stage. While here you will receive a kingly and a queenly treat. Return to the lodge for dinner and stay overnight at

Day 6: Hiking Dian Fossey

After breakfast, you will assemble at the park center Karisoke for briefing after which you take the trails to hike to the Dian Fossey tombs. This was an American primatologist whose great works were evident along the walk. You will witness angelic sceneries, plant species, butterflies, and on a lucky day you may be chanced to see the mountain gorilla and other forest creatures. Return to the lodge for dinner and staying overnight at

Day 7: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

You will have breakfast after which you transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Enroute you will have a stopover at the Nyanza King’s palace and the Rwanda Museum to witness the angelic historical aspects of the country. Day 8: Chimpanzee Tracking and Canopy Walk

Following an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the park center for your chimpanzee tracking experience. It begins with a morning briefing from the park rangers after which you are led through the forest by the park rangers. Chimpanzees are so loud and you will hear them make their loud charter sound at a distance. They love to nest and live in the tree canopies, along the trail. It takes 2 or more hours doing the activity. Return for lunch at the lodge or enjoy your packed lunch then after you will have an afternoon canopy walk along the amazing suspended bridge in the forest. Day 9: Black and White Colobus Monkey Tracking and Relaxation

Have breakfast and assemble at the park headquarters for a black and white colobus monkey tracking experience. There are many troops of monkeys living in the ecosystem you will view the primates and return to the lodge for a relaxed evening and dinner.

Day 10: Transfer to Kigali For Departure

You will wake up to a morning breakfast and then be transferred to Kigali for your flight back home.
